HELOA Wales is a professional association consisting of staff from all Welsh Higher Education institutions working in collaboration to promote higher education in Wales.
We aim to promote entry to all sectors of higher education and provide information and guidance to prospective students, their families and advisors. We do this by:
- Promoting the potential benefits of higher education to prospective students across all ages and irrespective of educational, cultural and social background;
- working collectively and with other agencies to ensure access to free information and guidance by potential students, their families and advisors;
- enabling and assisting prospective students to make well-informed personal choices about HE courses and institutions on the basis of quality information and guidance. HELOA Wales members aim to provide this advice with honesty and impartiality;
- fostering links with other organisations and bodies working in related areas.
HELOA Wales is part of a UK-wide organisation which was set up in 1990 and currently has over 700 members from more than 140 higher education institutions. Find out more about the HELOA UK-wide organisation.
